While Mother Nature makes up her mind as to whether it's summer or fall, I'm finding plenty of cold weather inspiration in Lulu's "Down the Mountain" lookbook. Despite the fact that it's much hotter during the fall than during the summer where I live, I can still daydream about wearing Nordic knits, faux fur cossack hats, circle scarves, and maxi dresses. Now all I need is a cabin in the woods and a drop in temperature. These outdoorsy images appeal to me because they temper a casual vibe with a soft, cozy edge for the perfect balance of easy-to-wear fall layers.
